Supervision
Are you interested in IFS but haven't gotten into the lottery for Level 1 Trading or just aren't sure yet if it is the model for you?
If you are interested in IFS and are Pre- Level 1 trained, I run groups to introduce the model and provide opportunities to practice the skills.
Or, are you a new social worker or have you been in the field a while and want to deepen your work with clients?
Do you wish to run things by other professionals to "get their take" on clinical situations?
Do you want a safe space to process transference and counter transference?
Do you want to change jobs, become a leader or begin a private practice?
If any of these or similar questions resonate with you, I offer both individual and group supervision for therapists. I am an approved clinical supervisor in DC and MD and offer supervisory consultation. I began supervising social work interns in 1997 and absolutely cherished helping them learn and discover more about themselves and their clients. Throughout my career I have helped many new graduates obtain their highest clinical license and develop their own careers.
The groups I offer are for clinicians at any level of experience looking for peer support, mentorship, enhancing clinical skills and considering ways to develop their career. Bring a couple of colleagues and start your own group or ask if there is room in an existing one. Joining an existing group will depend on the size and level of expertise at the time you are ready to join.
After almost 30 years in the filed of social work as a clinician, supervisor and executive leader, I have a wealth of knowledge to share and experience to draw from. You may look at the rest of this website to learn more about me and my specialties but as a quick reference my expertise lies in: LGBTQ people, anti-oppression work, trauma, IFS, Mindfulness, working in organizations (at all levels from direct care Social Worker to Executive Director) and running a private practice (taking insurance then transitioning to being OON).
